The Seattle Kraken are the first NHL team in Seattle to compete for the Stanley Cup® since the Seattle Metropolitan NHL team won the Stanley Cup® in 1917. The team's name is based on the mythical kraken and the resemblance it bears to the native giant Pacific octopus, found in the waters of Puget Sound, near Seattle. The Kraken played their first regular season game on October 12, 2021. The date of their first game has been used to create the thread counts (width of lines) within the weave of this original tartan design:10-12-20-21.
Our carefully woven pocket scarf is made with Merino wool for an incredibly cozy feel. This oversized piece can be styled tightly for snow or a loose scarf for cool days and features two large pockets. Measures 69"x10" (175cm x 25cm) with two 3" fringes on each side.
