The Homestead - a place where a family can plant their roots and grow. Historically, the Homestead was available to the brave, the adventurous, the tough and the persistent- the settlers who helped build and develop the places we know and love today. More than just a parcel of land, the Homestead offered a place and space to build a home, and raise a family. Hard work, at times providing bountiful rewards and at other times devastating loss, tested the resolve of early settlers but most of all, the concept of a Homestead captures the resil- ience and desire to carve out our place in the world.
