Since its official establishment, June 14, 1775 — more than a year before the Declaration of Independence — the U.S. Army has played a vital role in the growth and development of the American nation. We have used the founding dates 06-14-17-75 within the (thread counts) lines in the tartan. We have added the red, white and blue strip within the tartan/plaid weave to represent the American Flag.
