Georgian Bay is famous for its stunning turquoise- blue waters, especially around the eastern shore and the Thirty Thousand Islands region. The striking colour comes from a mix of: limestone bedrock, clarity & depth changes. On a sunny day, it can look almost Caribbean, which is why the region is sometimes nicknamed “The Sixth Great Lake’s Caribbean”.
