Founded in 1967, the Los Angeles Kings have been members of the National Hockey League (NHL) since their inception. The Kings played their first game on October 14, 1967, and have won two Stanley Cup® Championships, both coming during their 2012–13 season and 2014–15 season respectively. The date of their first game has been used to create the thread counts (width of lines) within the weave of this original tartan design: 10-14-19-67-02.
