The New York Rangers, one of the “Original Six”, make their home at Madison Square Gardens in New York City.  Founded in 1926, the Rangers gained their name by the Press who referred to them as “Tex’s Rangers”. The Rangers played their first game on November 16, 1926, and have won 4 Stanley Cup® Championships. The date of their first game and number of Stanley Cup® Championship victories has been used to create the thread counts (width of lines) within the weave of this original tartan design: 11-16-19-26-4
