This is the official NC State tartan, which is registered in the Scottish Register of Tartans in Edinburgh, Scotland. It was selected from 27 tartan patterns submitted by students in the Wilson College of Textiles in the spring of 2013. The tartan features the red and white school colors alongside gray and black.
