The current Ottawa Senators is the second NHL franchise to use the ‘Senators’ name. The original Senators team were founded in 1883 and played until 1934 winning many Stanley Cup® Championships during that time. The League awarded a new franchise to Ottawa in 1990. The Sens played their first game on October 8, 1992. The date of their first game has been used to create the thread counts (width of lines) within the weave of this original tartan design: 10-08-19-92.
Lambswool is considered the highest quality of sheep's wool on the market. Taken from a sheep at its first shearing, lambswool is incredibly soft, smooth, resilient and has superior elasticity. The unique weaving process generates air pockets that retain heat while preventing moisture. Along with being natural, breathable and hypoallergenic, our lambswool can be worn comfortably against the skin.
