The Philadelphia Flyers, one of the most iconic teams in National Hockey League (NHL) history, were founded in 1967 as part of the first expansion of the NHL from the “Original Six” teams. The Flyers have won two Stanley Cup® Championships and have played in eight Finals series. The Flyers played their first game on October 11, 1967. The date of their first game and number of Stanley Cup® Championship victories has been used to create the thread counts (width of lines) within the weave of this original tartan design: 10-11-19-67-02.
